This is your chance to meet with representatives from local and California-wide school districts to find out more about their districts and employment opportunities. Bring your resume, dress professionally and be prepared to interview! Light refreshments will be provided.

Alpha Public Schools
Alpha Public Schools is a new network of public charter schools, operating secondary schools that use blended learning approaches to enhance teaching and personalize the student experience. Alpha: Blanca Alvarado Middle School, the network’s first school, opened in the Alum Rock School District of East San Jose in 2012. Its second middle school will open in the fall of 2014. Alpha’s mission is to provide children from high-poverty communities an education that effectively develops the academic skills and competencies of character to overcome the achievement gap, graduate from college, and become self-reliant and productive leaders. Alpha’s founding classes will graduate from college in 2022 and 2023.

Ceiba Public Schools
Ceiba Public Schools is a nonprofit charter management organization committed to closing the college-readiness gap for historically underserved students. We are ferociously committed to providing students with the academic skills and cultural acumen necessary for success in the classroom and in the community. Located in Watsonville, mid-way between Santa Cruz and Monterey - Ceiba College Prep Middle and High Schools will serve over 500 students in grades 6-12 during the 2014-15 academic year. Escuela Popular
Escuela Popular is a charter school in San Jose, California that has been in existence since 1986 and in 2002 became a charter school. EP is a family learning center that serves Pre-K to 12th grade children, youth, and adults who seek to empower themselves by acquiring a higher education and the knowledge to affect change in their communities. Escuela Popular provides educational services to over 1,100 students in three age-appropriate programs in two facilities. Our student population is predominantly Latino. Most of our students are first generation immigrants who come from Spanish-speaking households. The Elementary School (K-8th grade) implements the 90/10 Dual Language Immersion program with Spanish being the target language. 

Fremont Union High School District
Located in the heart of Silicon Valley and the San Francisco Bay Area in the State of California, the Fremont Union High School District currently serves over 10,000 students in a 42 square mile area covering all of the City of Cupertino, most of Sunnyvale and portions of San Jose, Los Altos, Saratoga, and Santa Clara in Santa Clara County.

Gonzales Unified School District
The Gonzales Unified School District is located in the heart of the Salinas Valley. The High School serves students from elementary school districts in the communities of Gonzales, Chualar, and Mission. The Unified District was officially established on July 1, 1997. Almost all of the students are from families related to the agriculture industry, the heart of the area’s economy. The district’s student enrollment is 94% Hispanic. The Gonzales Unified School District consists of five schools, La Gloria Elementary School (K-4), Fairview Middle School (5-8), Gonzales High School (9-12), Continuation High/Alternative School and a State Preschool School. The district employs 127 certificated and 89 classified staff members.

MPUSD
MPUSD is making progress towards becoming a center of educational excellence. Investments in curriculum, professional development, technology, and academic intervention have produced an upward trend in student achievement. We have successfully raised the standard of education our students receive and produced positive gains in every California Standards Testing area. MPUSD is committed to providing the 10,500 students it serves with the best education possible. Within our schools you will find dynamic and innovative programs designed to meet the individual and diverse needs of our students. MPUSD provides students services and enrichment activities so that they progress throughout their K-12 education and successfully transition to post-secondary college and career opportunities.

Oak Grove School District
K-8 Public School District, Oak Grove School District is recruiting teachers for our Special Education classes, (SDC, K-6 & 7-8; RSP, K-6 & 7-8; ED); Intermediate (Grades 7&8) level Language Arts, Math, PE, Science, and Band.

Oakland Unified School District
OUSD is a diverse urban school district that is intensely focused on student achievement and social justice. A national model of urban reform and a living example of multiculturalism in action, OUSD has strong community relationships and a variety of schools to meet our students needs. We anticipate a high need for teachers credentialed in the following areas: Bilingual Multiple Subjects (Spanish), Mathematics, SPED Mild/Moderate and Moderate/Severe, Physical Education (PE), Science (Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Life Science), Computers, Music, Multiple Subjects.

Salinas Union High School District
The Salinas Union High School District serves 13,000 students in grades 7-12. SUHSD includes four middle schools (grades 7-8), four high schools (grades 9-12), a continuation high school, an alternative school, an adult school and ROP facilities. Ideal candidates will immerse themselves in SUHSD culture and traditions, therefore they must be willing to coach and/or be club advisors. Candidates for teaching positions must hold or be eligible for an appropriate credential issued by CCTC (California Commission on Teacher Credentialing): Single Subject with an English Learner Authorization; Education Specialist with an English Learner Authorization. SUHSD welcomes candidates with Clear, Prelim (Level 1) or Intern credentials.

San Benito High School District
San Benito High School District is located in Hollister, California, and serves most of San Benito County. Enrollment is approximately 2900 students. A staff of 9 administrators, 130 certificated and 120 classified employees enjoy a close working relationship with a common goal of providing superior educational opportunities for all students.

San Francisco Unified School District (SFUSD)
The San Francisco Unified School District (SFUSD) is the 7th largest school district in California, educating over 56,000 students every year. Sunnyvale School District
The Sunnyvale School District is a high performing school district located in the northwestern section of Santa Clara County, the heart of the Santa Clara Valley. Some of the nation’s most successful business and industrial leaders are located in Sunnyvale, including AMD, Network Appliance and Yahoo! We serve nearly 7000 students in our 4 preschools, 8 elementary and 2 middle schools. These students are from a wide range of cultural and ethnic backgrounds, with over 46 different languages spoken.
