  1. Create a positive mindset

    • Examine your attitude to work:
      • Perceptions
      • Motivation & drive
      • Professional Work Ethics
    • Be open to ideas, suggestions and /or advise
    • Take the initiative to learn more regarding career positions, types of jobs
    • Don't underestimate your skills and experience 
      • Consider all of your experiences (paid and unpaid) and figure out how to put them in their “best light"

  2. Articulate your professional traits in your marketing “spiel.”

    • How do you want to introduce yourself?
    • What do you want to get across to a potential employer?
    • Convey your information in a 2 -3 minute speech.

  3. Practice, practice, practice

    • Stand in front of a mirror; see if your non-verbal actions mirror your words.
      • Smile!
