What is OCI?
OCI is an acronym for the On-Campus Interview Program. This program gives you the opportunity to interview with a wide variety of companies for internships and full-time positions without having to leave campus. These are not practice interviews - real employers are here interviewing students for real jobs. Many employers begin recruiting for June grads and summer interns during the Fall & Winter quarters.

Who can participate?
OCI is open to ALL currently enrolled UCSC students.

How do I apply?
Students must create a user profile in SlugQuest to sign up for on-campus interviews. OCI jobs are posted on SlugQuest. You might have seen one or two and not even realized it. You can limit your search results to OCI jobs only by selecting "All Interviews" from the "Show Me" drop down menu on the SlugQuest job search page. Each employer will assign a deadline date to apply. Please see the OCI Policies listed below.

OCI Policies:

OCI is open to currently enrolled UCSC students only.
Submit resumes to positions of interest prior to the deadline posted on each job listing in SlugQuest. Late submission requests will not be accommodated.
Submission at special events, although a great practice, does not mean you submitted for OCI.
Select interview time slots during the indicated time frame.
Withdraw or cancel an interview via SlugQuest prior to the schedule close.
Cancellations received after the schedule close posted on SlugQuest will be subject to the no-show policy.
Students are expected to wear professional attire. The Career Center reserves the right to cancel interviews for students who are dressed inappropriately when they arrive.
No-shows will not be tolerated.
First infractions will result in the loss of access to SlugQuest until a letter of apology has been written to the employer and the UCSC Career Center.
Recommendations:
Submit your resume early. Employers can close resume submission at any time.
Attend all events where you can meet employers of interest. Info sessions, career fairs, workshops, club events, panels, etc.
If you have a scheduled interview attend presentations given by that employer like resume writing, interview techniques, etc (even if you have already been to one!)

Interview Cancellation Policy: The deadline for canceling an interview is noon, two (2) working days before the interview. Call the Career Center at 459-4420 to cancel. If an emergency or illness prevents you from keeping your appointment, call the Career Center before 9:00 am the day you are scheduled to interview. Any cancellation without appropriate notice is a considered a no-show. A no-show requires that you write a letter of apology to the employer within two (2) business days following the interview date and bring it to the Career Center's receptionist for mailing. A second no-show will result in your being barred from interviewing for the remainder of the quarter, a third no-show for the remainder of the year. Questions may be directed to slugquest@ucsc.edu
