Essay Questions

Student Regent application
Each applicant is required to answer the following essay questions as part of their application:
- What is the role of the Student Regent on the UC Board of Regents?
- Describe one or two educational opportunities you have experienced at the University or other schools you have attended which will contribute to your being an effective member of the Board of Regents.
- State support for the University of California has dropped from $3.25 billion in 2007-2008 to $2.37 billion in 2011-12. For the first time in history, student tuition and fee revenue exceeds State funding. As a member of the Board of Regents how would you propose to influence the debate and what is your proposed solution to the issue?
