Attend a fair
Career & Internship Fairs, Job Fairs, and Graduate School Fairs are among the most effective ways to gain visibility and connect with students.
Below are some upcoming fairs. Registration for all events will be available through Handshake.

Host an on-campus information session or career related event
Another great way to connect with students on-campus is to host an information session or other career related event (i.e. career development workshop, alumni panel, tech talk, etc.). We can help you pick a date, secure space, and market your event.

Private organizations: $400
Non-profit/government: $200
Provided services
We will provide the following
- Access to a conference room (room sizes vary and are based on availability for up to two hours)
- Audiovisual equipment (may not be available in all locations)
- Up to 2 parking passes
- One targeted email blast to promote your information session (up to 2,000 students contacted)
- On site support
Scheduling
Please contact us to discuss dates, time and location. Once decided upon, it is the responsibility of the recruiter to post the event in Handshake. We require at least 2 weeks to schedule an event and all requests are subject to date/space availability. Contact us at slugtalent@ucsc.edu.
Host a virtual event
Connect seamlessly with UCSC students anywhere in the world! Use your preferred video conferencing platform to effortlessly live-stream your event to UCSC students. Virtual events have broken down geographic challenges to recruiting students. If you don’t need any support from our staff, there is no fee associated with posting a virtual event in Handshake. If you would like us to support you with scheduling, planning, and marketing your session, pricing is as follows:

- Creating a zoom link for your event
- Supporting you with the event submission in Handshake
- Consult with your organization to pick an appropriate date/time
- Being present during your virtual event if needed
- Marketing your event in one of our industry newsletters
