Graduate & Professional School Exams
Graduate and Professional Schools often require standardized tests as part of the application process. However, the level of emphasis placed on such tests varies widely among health care disciplines as well as programs. Academic graduate programs usually require GRE scores while professional graduate schools have their specific tests, MCAT for medical schools, LSAT for law schools, GMAT for business schools etc.
GRE (Graduate Record Examination) is required by most academic graduate schools (some nursing schools).
LSAT (Law School Admission Test) is required by law schools.
GMAT (Graduate Management Admission Test) is required by graduate programs in business schools.
MCAT (Medical College Admission Test) is required by medical schools.
DAT (Dental Admission Test) is required by dental schools.
PCAT (Pharmacy College Admission Test) is required by many pharmacy schools (but not CA schools).
OAT (Optometry Admission Test) is required by most optometry schools.
