How to Access LinkedIn Learning for Free
You can have a LinkedIn profile with your personal (non-UCSC) email address and still access LinkedIn Learning for free. If you don't already have a LinkedIn account, we recommend creating one first before accessing LinkedIn Learning.
- Log out of your personal LinkedIn account before trying to connect to LinkedIn Learning. Make sure you know your password so you can log back in later.
- Navigate to LinkedIn Learning by accessing the landing page.
- Enter your UCSC email address in this step, even if you have a regular LinkedIn account with a personal (non-UCSC) email address. If done correctly, you should have triggered SSO to get full access to LinkedIn Learning.
- After verifying your SSO, you should see a confirmation page that you now have access to LinkedIn Learning. At this point, you have the option to "Connect my LinkedIn account." This is where you can now connect LinkedIn Learning, provided by UCSC, to your personal LinkedIn account.
Troubleshooting
-
If you are not seeing the full content or are being asked to purchase a subscription, log out of LinkedIn Learning account and log back in. Sometimes, this is all it takes to see the full content.
- If that still doesn't work, see these instructions to associate your LinkedIn Learning account with your UCSC email to provide you with full access for free.
