Are you interested in helping your fellow students figure out their career path? Consider applying to be a Career Success Peer Coach!
- Advise undergraduate students in the initial stages of the career development process
- Conduct drop-in advising, both individually and in groups, to critique resumes and cover letters, connect students with career resources, and answer career-related questions
- Present and conduct outreach on behalf of Career to other campus partners with professionalism and enthusiasm
- Create a warm and welcoming environment in the Career Center
- Demonstrate how to use Handshake, FOCUS 2 and ER System software to students
- Participate in Career workshops and events
- High energy, positive student leaders who want to make a difference
- Warm and compassionate demeanor
- Desire and ability to interact with diverse student populations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Organized, conscientious and reliable team player
- Willingness to learn and creative problem solving
- Second and third year students preferred - must commit for the entire academic year, and be available to work 8 - 12 hours per week
- Training starts in Spring Quarter, with a 20 hour commitment over the course of the quarter. Peers must be able to commit to training during the week of September 20th, before the start of the Fall Quarter.
