Undocumented Student Support
There are many internships available in the Chancellor's Undergraduate Internship Program. These are year-long positions where students participate in 300 hours of internship in a campus unit (roughly 10 hours per week). For participation in this internship students receive a scholarship of up to $5,500 (depending on room in their financial aid package) which is distributed over three quarters. This is not “work” as the financial support is in the form of a scholarship, and therefore work authorization is not required to participate in this program.
If you have questions about your financial aid package, please contact UCSC Financial Aid directly.
Career Success is committed to assisting all students, regardless of status, to pursue meaningful work. Career Coaches and Peer Career Coaches are available to help you. Appointments are available through Handshake, or come by during drop-in hours.
