Alumni Who Graduated up to Two Years Ago
If you graduated less than two years ago, you still have free access to all Career Success services. This includes:
- Career Coaching appointments
- Free admission to all fairs/events
- Access to 17,000+ postings through Handshake
Alumni Who Graduated More Than Two Years Ago
If you graduated more than two years ago, you have free access to the following Career Success services:
- Free admission to all fairs/events
- Access to 17,000+ postings through Handshake
First Destination Survey
Every year Career Success sponsors a survey to ask graduating seniors about their post-graduation plans broadly, collecting more specific information if they have secured a job (including job title and salary) or have been accepted into a graduate or professional degree program. Survey results are made available online.
Handshake
Handshake is the digital platform that UCSC uses to connect students and alumni with job search and career coaching resources. Log in to Handshake.
You will use your UCSC Gold ID and password to log into Handshake. If you no longer have access to these credentials, you can see the UCSC ITS page on how to recover them. You can update your primary email address on Handshake to your personal email address to continue receiving emails from Handshake.

Update on Google Services for Alumni
- Alumni will be able to continue to use their UCSC Google account (Google Calendar, Gmail, Drive, Photos, YouTube, etc.) for one year after their graduation.
- Alumni will have the option to keep their existing UCSC Gmail with no other Google Services and with a 500 MB storage limit by request only.
