How to Subscribe to Science & Health Career Newsletter

1. Log into your Handshake account.
2. On the top-right, click on the icon with your initials. Then, click on My career interest.
3. On the next page, scroll down to the Check industry career communities to get targeted information about opportunities. Select all options that you would like to receive newsletters.
4. On the bottom-left, click the green Save My Career Interests button. 

Self-Assessment & Career Exploration

• Do a Focus 2 assessment to help you discover majors and occupations that match your personal attributes.
• Use the What Can I Do With This Major? the website as a starting point to learn what career paths are possible from each major. 
• Visit the ExploreHealthCareers.org
• Visit our Graduate and Professional School page to explore these options.

Summer Research Experiences

Many applications for summer internships are due in January and February.

• Search for summer research programs via Institute for Broadening Participation (IBP)
• Search for summer research programs via NSF Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU)
• Prepare for applications by reviewing our resources for letters of recommendation, personal statements, and curriculum vitae (CV). These resources were developed for graduate school applications but are still applicable to these applications.
