Paychecks & Direct Deposit


By default, your paycheck will come in the form of a paper check.

  • Ungraduate students' paychecks will be delivered to their affiliated college's advising office and will remain there for five business days. After five business days, paychecks will be sent back to the Payroll Office. If this happens, contact the Payroll Office at
  • Graduate students' paychecks will be delivered to the Career Center.

    Signing up for Direct Deposit

    We highly recommend that you sign up for Direct Deposit, which you can do on the At Your Service Online (AYSO) website. When signed up, Direct Deposit will apply the next pay period.

    Please note:

    • The first paycheck will always be at your affiliated advising office, even after signing up for Direct Deposit.
    • Please allow two business days after receiving your Blue Card for AYSO access.

    To sign up for direct deposit as a new user:

    1. Signing up for Direct Deposit in UCPath.
    2. From your UCPath Dashboard, use the menu on the left side of the screen to navigate to the Direct Deposit Add/Update page:
    3. Employee Actions > Income and Taxes > Direct Deposit.
    4. The initial Direct Deposit set-up may take up to two weeks to become effective.

      If you choose not to sign up for Direct Deposit, your paycheck will be mailed to the home/mailing address on file in UCPath. Please review your personal information to ensure that the address listed is correct."
