  • Completing the Onboarding Process

Please note: You can only apply for an SSN if you are physically in the US at this time.

Once you've received your receipt of your social security number application, you may begin the onboarding process with Career Success. Note that onboardings are completed virtually.

Please do not bring your physical Social Security card to Career Success.

After filling out the necessary on-boarding paperwork, you will also fill out a GLACIER form. The Internal Revenue Service (IRS), which is the U.S. government tax authority, requires UCSC to use to collect this information from all non-US citizens to determine the appropriate rate of tax withholding and reporting for any payments that are made to such individuals.
